In the streetPosted by Andrew Gould (Sydney, Australia) on 1 July 2009 in Documentary & Street and Portfolio. I went into the Sydney city centre late last Thursday afternoon (25th of July) with the specific aim of doing a bit of close up, wide angle street photography. The trick I used here is to shoot from the hip. A very high ISO setting was necessary, as the light was getting really low. I had the camera set to aperture preferred, centre weighted metering, as I always do, but instead of centre focus point only, I tried out the multiple focus points. This worked very well. See this larger here, along with other 15 other photos from the afternoon. These were all taken within exactly one hour, between 4:40 and 5:40pm: Thanks for visiting my pages. I welcome all comments and any constructive criticism and make it a habit to always return the favour -- even though it may sometimes take me a few days to do so.
