Thursday 24th of June: Just returned last night from the trip to Northern Australia, during which I was hardly able to get online at all. Thanks for all the comments lately. It will take me a few days, but I'll catch up with return visits to your pages.

@Dawn Sutherland: This is in the Cooks River near where it flows into Botany Bay in Sydney's southern suburbs, and is close to Sydney Airport. The bird was totally free, and they're quite common here. The camera I used for this shot zooms to the equivalent of 200mm in 35mm format.
Very nice shot...love the reflection on the water and the bird there
