@rainsocks: There was all manner of things to interest me as a photographer on this beach! It's 40 kms (24.85 miles) long, although I would have walked up and down only a few of those at the time.

@Rebecca: Thank you. If I can catch good afternoon light on a beach (or anywhere else, for that matter) I feel very satisfied. I followed my usual practice of underexposing 2/3 of a stop to not burn out the highlights. In postprocessing, I brought out shadow detail with Photoshop's shadow/highlight filter.
