Posted by Andrew Gould (Sydney, Australia) on 22 October 2007 in People & Portraits and Portfolio.
Taken yesterday afternoon, Sunday the 21st of October 2007 at 5:25pm on my local beach, Brighton-le-Sands, in the south of Sydney.
This photograph that I present is in keeping with my new approach of trying to upload images that are as current as possible.
As Brighton Beach is just 5 minutes down the road from home by car, it's an obvious choice for me to go image hunting when there's no time to travel further afield. Brighton is just one section of kilometres and kilometres of beachfront all along the shores of Botany Bay, and as I go walking, I'm always on the lookout for that special moment of interaction between people on the beach.
This one is a good example of what I usually like to take, prefering the subjects to be just elements in the overall scene.
Sigma 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3

A beautiful capture. Great that you isolated them in the photo and that the beach isn't crowded.
