Australia Day can mean...

...almost anything in this multicultural society!

In my Australia Day preview, yesterday, I mentioned that I was going out to see a fireworks display in the evening. I thought there might be a chance to catch people involved in some kind of activity, and here's one of my shots.

This is one of the food stalls where I was at Carss Park in Sydney's southern suburbs. It's pide, also known as "Turkish pizza".

UPDATE: I didn't eat this on the night, but did today. Looking at the menu, I saw my mistake. This is not pide, but is gösleme. Pide is a thicker, narrower type of Turkish bread with a topping. My gösleme today had cheese and spinach inside, but if you're a meat eater, they have plenty of that, too.
