Botany Bay in overcast weather

Posted by Andrew Gould (Sydney, Australia) on 17 February 2008 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

Well that's the way it was when I went for a walk along this beachfront in the south of Sydney, not far from where I live, at 6:13 pm this evening (17th of February, 2008). At first, I didn't think that I'd get anything interesting at all because the light was really flat looking. Then, for a short time, the light came through, giving me that little bit of warmth and contrast that I needed. This was the one shot I saved from quite a few taken very quickly at different viewoints, using the shark net as a central feature.
