Oh man, this is one fantastic candid moment, it's exquisite...
Perfect portrait! Excellent DOF and composition. Excellent tones. Perfect body language. Love the lines in the walkway. All around excellence!

Splendid life-style image. As I've mentioned to others, monochrome is so powerful, easily seen here. And great selective focus. Great photo.

@Observing: Thanks a lot. This did look much more powerful to me in black and white when I transformed it with Photoshop CS3's black and white converter. The dog was black and white, anyway, but the people's clothes in the background were quite distracting, as was the brown stonework of the cathedral.
Well seen. I like how the shadow and light on the ground reflects the dog's black and white coat =D)

excellent street shot! well captured portrait, great composition & DOf too.

What a character . . and the guy looks like he could tell a tale or two, too! Super candid streetshot.

I saw this image after the one posted on the next day. This is even more beautiful as a B&W shot. Congratulations!

I like this image, in large part because of the contrast between the figures in the fore- and background -- the different between people who seem carefree and the man in the front who seems a little worn down. Very well seen.

@GJC: Thanks for your very perceptive comment, because I can see you're right about the contrast with the background figures. I must admit that I wasn't aware of that when I took it, but the body language makes it quite clear. A happy accident!
