Men at work

In a Sydney suburb today, the 6th of May, 2008.

I took a series of shots from across the road with my Sigma 18-200mm f3.5-6.3 DC OS lens, trying to avoid the passing traffic, and this was the best of them.

I would like to keep in touch with members of the aminus3 community.

Great shot, as always a nice slice of life in your part of the world. The composition and colours are marvelous, almost as if you got them to pose for the shot.

@Graham Russon: Thanks, Graham. How interesting that you've come so close to my idea for this shot when you say that the subjects appear to be posing, because as I framed it, I had this idea of producing a stylised image, with a static and almost unreal look about it.

nice work shot. like the composition and framing, and i don't think that's easy to accomplish at a construction site.

@danthro: Thanks! I had a go at taking shots at this site before, but didn't come up with anything interesting. This time, though, I was lucky that these workers were up against that plain background, involved in a task that had a sort of group dynamic about it.
