@yiannis krikis: Glad you like it, Yiannis. It was the best of quite a few shots I took, and the only one I kept. As you would know, a tiny difference in the poses can make or break this type of photograph.
Nice colourful and happy shot. From the angle you've take it, it looks like the beach is not too safe (backwash an issue)?

@dobbino: Thank you, Rob. It's actually a very sheltered bay. I was up on the promenade, looking down. It must be this, and the compression cuased by the use of the long end of my zoom that makes it appear that way.
The light in this shot is terrific, Andrew ... I also think your framing is quite effective - showing so much of the sea ... not the typical "fun at the beach" shot w/bathing suits but, clearly, a fun at the beach scene ... really terrific!

@Ron: Thanks, Ron. Interesting to me that you mention that you like the framing with so much sea. This is the uncropped full size image. I did try cropping it to have the children relatively larger within the frame, but didn't like it, as it lost this effect of the smallnes of the children and the dominance of the ocean.
