Cathedral Cove

Taken on the 14th of November 2007, in the North Island of New Zealand. This panorama is made up of 8 separate photos, processed with Photoshop CS3's Photomerge, which is the best program I've ever used for this purpose.

@dj.tigersprout: Thank you. Cathedral Cove is quite breathtaking, even if it doesn't have those incredible tall rocky islands as the bays in the south of Thailand do. (I visited the latter a long time back.)

Great job. Seeing it on your smug site is the way to go. Save this one to make a calendar. It would be a nice Holiday gift for your friends photographers. Or you could sell it - it is that good.

WOW!!! Thanks for posting the link to the larger version, this is the kind of shot where the 800 pixel width limit on aminus3 really disappoints. But amazingly beautiful place. It's like the kind of place you only see in your imagination or occasionally movies :) thanks for sharing

I really like the coverage of the landscape here, with lots of textures (sea, sand, sky, vegetation, rocks), all combining for a very restful effect. Nice!

@Aaron Schmidt: Thanks, Aaron! As I've said, Photomerge is fantastic in CS3. (Better than in CS2, where it doesn't even out the exposure differences.)

We loved Cathedral Cove, and everything else we saw in the North Island on that trip. I can't wait to return to your adopted country to see more!
