Wonderful color, incredibly sharp image. Good work.

@Emilio Garcia: Thank you, Emilio. In theory, my Sigma 18-200 mm optical stabiliser zoom is no match for prime lenses and some high quality shorter zooms. In practice, though, it does very well. (Photoshop's Smart Sharpen also used here.)
What a chubby cute little fellow!

Good shot. Squirrel would perhaps stand out a lot more if the background was darker. That guy has eaten way to many nuts!

@Scott Rippee: Thanks, Scott. I'm open to any suggestions. In this case, I used the levels control in Photoshop to heighten the contrast between the squirrel and the background as much as possible.
Beautiful light on this squirrel !

Although they are considered vermin over here, they are fantastic little creatures. An adorable capture Andrew.

It had put on its autumn coat! Most pleasing colours in this squirrel and, of course, the details are amazing!

Great shot (I have a mental image of you crawling closer and closer...) I have a special fondness for squirrel photos, esp. when they are eating. Nicely done!

@Ken McCoy: Thanks, Ken. That image you have of me in this case is quite a funny one when you combine it with the alert look that the squirrel has! Alas, it wasn't so. This is cropped from the long end of my zoom, which is equivalent to 300mm in 35mm format.
