hmm -- actually i enjoy this composition even more than the previous shot -- more room to move here -- and more to see. the barren tree branches in the background difuse the eye in all directions and i like the added dimension of the piano player as the lowest figure in the frame. excellent composition and candid Andrew! :)

@dj.tigersprout: Thanks for your detailed comment on this. I really like photographing people involved in a specific activity. Then it's possible to get that candid look you refer to, even when you're quite visible with the camera.

@Lorraine: Thanks, Lorraine. I thought adding the link to the sound clips would give this an extra dimension, as well spreading the word on a great talent and her wonderful group. As far as the capture of this moment's concerned, digital's great, as we all know. I took a lot of shots, and later on, narrowed it down to the eleven best. (More about the full series, in tomorrow's post.)
