More men at work

You may have seen yesterday's post of one of my first photos taken with my new Canon G9. I'm carrying this little camera around with me every day now are without exception, and will upload more images taken with it (and especially ones at higher ISO settings) as soon as possible.

I would like to keep in touch with members of the aminus3 community.

Hi Andrew - I must say I am impressed with the detail achieved. I presume you did mean "G10" not "G9" in your write-up. I'll be very interested to see as you go along how you feel about the 15 Megapixel image size. I still long for my 6 mp 350D as it produced magnificent photos, but it gave me such problems with dust that I would never go back.

@dobbino: Hi Rob. Not sure if you mean detail in the previous shot or in this one, which was taken with the 40D. You mention the number of megapixels. There are those who believe that this could introduce moer noise in a small sensor, but then there's the new internal processing software that may playa role in reducing this. So far, so good. Even the 400 ISO shots, that I haven't kept because they weren't up to much as images, have turned out to be good enough to use with careful processing. My 350D has also given me great results, but it looks like its days have come to an end. Some time back, it developed a tendency to freeze occasionally. That could have been woth fixing, but now there's a problem with the memory card release button. Sadly, as things go these days, a repair may be uneconomical.

Perfect 'action' shot here . . you really know how to gather these street moments and this one is a neat composition of activity against that bland slab wall.
