On the train home

Taken on the train that you saw arriving in the station in yesterday's photo. Having a compact camera is just so useful. I could never have done this with my DSLR.

I would like to keep in touch with members of the aminus3 community.

i love this shot -- some very intriguing details to behold -- most catching is the book to the right... did you catch what she was reading? ;) awesome!

@dj.tigersprout: Thanks, DJ. When I enlarge the full size shot, I can easily read it except for where the pages curve in the middle of the book. The left hand page is titled, Chapter 7, Grand Avenue., and begins with the words, The farm crisis of the 1980s... and mentions a character called Spencer. I just tried to use those as key words on a Google search, but didn't come up with anything.

@Alun Lambert: Glad to have your approval on this one, Alun. No real bravery involoved, actually, as it was easy to take this with the G10 on my knee. All I had to do was to tilt the camera slightly to see the screen. I waited till the door was open at an above ground station for this one. I used to think that using the camera like this was too "sneaky" actually, but now I feel that as long as I can get the result I want -- which is to document life around me in what I hope will be an interesting way -- I feel it's justified.
