The city from the beach

Part of Botany Bay from the section of beach called Monterey. That's the Sydney city centre in the background with Sydney Tower in the middle. Telephoto compression has made the city look much closer than it really is. It's actually about 15 kms away. Taken two days ago on Sunday.

That yellow structure on the shore is part of a barge that's being used to lay pipes under the bay from the desalination plant that's being constructed.
