We call them thongs...

... but you may call them flip-flops, or somethng else -- and you're welcome to tell me this in any comment.

This is a photo I took in July on the boardwalk at my local beach, Brighton.

Yep - we call them that here too - also slip-slops! Can't wear them myself as I think my feet are skew or something, but they certainly are useful. The colour contrasts work really well here.

We call them Flip Flops.You could get yourself into all sorts of trouble asking a shop keeper for thongs in the UK Andrew !! A thong is a very small Ladies under garment (tiny knickers) I´d love to see you try though :-)
